Bible Camps

Sharing Faith and Bringing Presence

Group photo of OEW Bible Camp kids

Every Summer, On Eagle’s Wings volunteers travel great distances to run Bible Camps in some very remote places.

We go in response to invitations to share our faith with children, young people and adults alike.

In many ways our Bible Camps are like a traditional VBS (Vacation Bible School).  They include FUN activities such as :

  • Storytelling
  • Memory verses
  • Craft-making
  • Acting
  • Singing
  • Playing games
  • and SNACKS!!!

Bible Camps provide 5 days of engaging and interactive learning for the children who attend.

They bring JOY to children in the villages, and are a great encouragement to local leaders.

Northern communities don’t receive a lot of visitors, so Bible Camp is a real highlight each year.

It isn’t just the children who enjoy camp either.  Often times youth who bring their younger siblings will stay and hang out for a while – perhaps even volunteering to help with various activities.

Parents and local leaders also joining in, singing songs, doing actions, and learning more about their faith.

All in all it is a great time within the northern communities we partner with.  If you would like to find out more, then we encourage you to consider being a volunteer teacher!
